Surveillance of Gas Pumps
Another service RTC provides to Cenex is
an HD camera system, which enables the
business to monitor gas pumps in case of
drive-offs, provide protection for cashiers,
and even help police solve crimes that happen
in the area. Schlichting values the picture
clarity with the HD cameras. He says, “Even
deputies have commented on how clear they
are—better than others out there. And it’s
a lease program, so if there’s a problem, RTC
replaces the camera at no cost except the
monthly charge.”
Schlichting has been known to allow potential
RTC camera customers to look at those
installed at Cenex and show how they work.
Chat Betz, Combination Tech Coordinator
at RTC, says, “Before RTC got into the camera
business, Cenex had some outdated cameras.
Once we started offering this service, I
explained to Paul what we could do with
our cameras versus his old ones. We were
able to install fewer cameras yet cover the
building better. Paul liked that he could
access the cameras remotely from his
smartphone or from anywhere with an
internet connection.”
Prompt Repairs FromLocal Company
Schlichting says, “The customer service
from RTC has been fantastic. What’s nice
about a local company is we can talk face
to face.” When Cenex has called RTC for
service, the response has been prompt.
Betz notes, “Paul contacts RTC about a
wide range of concerns. Just recently he
had a computer company come in to fix
something. They explained what they
could do for him, and Paul told them that
before he did anything, he wanted to check
with RTC first.”
CENEX AND RTC
EMPLOYEES STAY ACTIVE
IN THE COMMUNITY
Paul Schlichting at Cenex of Garrison
and Chad Betz at RTC (each quoted
in this Business Spotlight) are proud
of their activities in the local community.
Both men serve on the local fire
department. Schlichting also serves
as President for the Dickens Village
Festival and the North Dakota Coop
Manager’s Association. He’s also
active in the Garrison Chamber of
Commerce and the Garrison Area
Improvement Association. Last year,
Schlichting was recognized for all
his work as a Garrison Community
Achievement winner.
Betz sits on the City Council and is
a member of the Garrison Housing
Authority. He’s also on the Governor’s
Cup Committee and is part of the
technology group for local schools.
Betz says, “As a company, RTC has
participated in many ways, from
helping the local fire department
raise money for new equipment to
donatingmoney to the local theater.
For this reason, I feel RTC will always
bea strongpresence in thecommunity.”
What’s nice about a local company
is we can talk face to face.”
